Megan Conway RMT, CRHP
Hello, my name is Megan and I want to welcome you to the therapy lounge.
I am a Registered Massage Therapist and Certified Reflexology Health Care Practitioner. The service I provide is very personal and I can take care of you naturally from head to toe.
My interest in the healthcare field began early. As a child I was always active playing many types of sports. When I began to develop skeletal and foot discomfort I was referred to a chiropractor for treatment. I was deeply impressed with the power of the healing hands and interested in the anatomy of the skeletal and muscular system. The ability to heal the whole body naturally was when I realized I wanted to aide people in their physical, mental, and emotional wellness.
I believe in the importance
of taking continuing education courses to further my knowledge and skills. In
May 2006 I became a Certified Reflexology Healthcare Practitioner from the
To improve on my massaging techniques, I took a NISA (Neuromuscular Integration and Structural Alignment) course in April 2007. NISA is a complementary modality, which involves a system of specific physical manipulation of muscular and connective tissue that corrects and aligns the structure of the body.
In November 2007 I had the opportunity to create and open my dream practice the 'therapy lounge'. I want to provide my clients with complementary therapies to achieve individual whole body healing in a caring, comforting, and natural atmosphere. I am looking forward to continue my growth as a massage therapist and I will always seek to provide the best care for my clients.
I have always been drawn to getting down to the root of the problem and seeking out the cause of the symptoms. The cause of the symptom is as important as treating the symptom it self. As the seasons change so do the demands on our bodies as we begin new activities and chores. Expect to talk about how to help your body transition into each new season and to seek out any exacerbating or reinforcing behaviors such as your desk ergonomics or even your sleeping position. I often give suggested homecare stretches and exercises to be added to your daily exercise and healthy life style.
I have successfully treated acute and chronic muscular pain, postural imbalances, headaches/migraines, sports injuries, repetitive injury strains, sinus and arthritic conditions. I have treated a wide range of clients including infants/children, prenatal/postnatal, athletes, and people with MS or fibromyaligia and those seeking deep therapeutic treatment for overall stress management.
Let me take care of you naturally head to toe.
