What is Chiropractic Care?

Back to Services

Chiropractic is a safe and effective health solution for the treatment and management of conditions relating to all your joints, muscles, ligaments and fascia as well as preservation of the function of the nervous system.  The chiropractic approach to health care is holistic, stressing the patient’s overall health and wellness.  It recognizes that many factors affect health, including exercise, diet, rest, the environment, and heredity.

Chiropractors are primary care Doctors.  No medical referral is necessary and costs of chiropractic care are commonly included in extended healthcare plans.

Chiropractors provide natural, drug free, non-surgical treatments and rely on the body's inherent recuperative abilities.  The hands are a chiropractor’s primary tool.  Gentle spinal and peripheral joint mobilization and adjustments are aimed at maintaining good alignment and mobility.

Treatment approach involves addressing the entire neuromusculoskeletal system.  The human body is a highly connected structure.  It is our philosophy that assessing the whole body is essential for correcting the root of many conditions.  In our practice we utilize a variety of techniques. These include (but are not limited to) drop piece assisted manual therapy, diversified chiropractic technique, Webster technique (in pregnancy), craniosacral therapy, soft tissue therapy and various exercise strategies.  In addition, we offer education regarding various health concerns, advice relating to proper ergonomics and posture, as well as prescription of orthotics, all part of a comprehensive treatment program aimed at delivering maximum benefits to our patients.
